The Village of Westport needs to make a decision no later than January 22, 2019 on whether to opt out of allowing retail cannabis stores within the Village boundary. Municipalities that have not opted-out by January 22, 2019, by default, have opted-in. Council was presented with a Briefing Note (see below) on this subject at the Committee of the Whole Meeting on December 18, 2018.
