Health Canada approved Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, adding it to the ranks of previously approved two-dose vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca. The announcement came with an extra shot of optimism, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau revealed that another 3.5 million Pfizer doses would arrive in Canada months ahead of the expected timeline.
