The Village of Westport has been awarded a grant in the amount of $56,500.00 to build an accessible covered stage in Lockwood Memorial Field and Park by The Ontario Trillium Fund.
This Grant will cover costs relating to the purchase and installation of the stage, all electrical work and landscaping surrounding the stage.
This was a very competitive process entered into by Village Council, Staff and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and all involved are very excited to have been awarded this grant.
The stage will be the host to many events going forward including arts, cultural and heritage festivals, family events, concerts and much more.
The project has been awarded to Scott Blair Construction and expect it to be open this coming summer.
